Lady Rangers heating up as regular season winds down
After opening the 2025-26 season against a challenging non-conference schedule, the Kilgore College Lady Rangers (15-11, 7-3) have shown steady improvement entering the final stretch of the regular season, including recent wins over Blinn College, Trinity Valley Community College and Tyler Junior College.
Through 25 games, KC features five players with at least 167 points this season.
Sophomore forward Ja'Sani Green leads the team with 381 points in 25 games, including 19 starts. She is shooting 60% from the field and 76.6% from the free-throw line.
Sophomore guard Madison Bob has scored 245 points in 22 games and has made 25 3-pointers. She is averaging 11.1 points per game.
Sophomore forward Anyla Herbert has totaled 205 points in 24 games while shooting 47.5% from the field.
Freshman forward Zariyah Edwards has recorded 172 points in 25 appearances and is shooting 47.2% from the field.
Sophomore guard Janiya Murphy has added 167 points in 20 games, connecting on 34 3-pointers and shooting 81.8% from the free-throw line.
Brooklyn King has contributed 140 points while shooting 56.3% from the field, and freshman point guard Kira Johnson has scored 130 points in 22 games.
Rhianna Battles has appeared in all 25 games with 20 starts and has totaled 111 points. Camryn Beck has added 126 points, and Kelsie Mangum has scored 101 points in 25 appearances.
KC now prepares for Region XIV Tournament set for March 10-14 back in Baytown (TX) at Lee College.
