Lady Rangers defeat Midland College on the road, 66-61
MIDLAND, TX: The Lady Rangers are definitely road warriors this season with many more non-conference road games than home games before the Christmas break -- and they succeeded once again, defeating the Midland Lady Chapparals, 66-61, at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center.
The Lady Rangers led the Lady Chaparrals 58-37 after three periods. Midland rallied in the fourth period, outscoring the Lady Rangers, 24-8, but came up six points short.
Jarahle Daniels and BryKayla Hampton led KC in scoring with 15 points each.
Perina Lieme came off of the bench to score 13 points and Nakiyah Allen scored 10 points.
Nyla Inmon led KC with assists (4) and rebounds (8).
With the win against Midland (9-5), the Lady Rangers improve their record to 5-5. They will travel to Liberal, Kan. Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 16-17, to play in the Seward Christmas Classic.
They will face Otero College 2 p.m. Saturday, then take on Seward County Community College at 4 p.m. on Sunday to finish out their pre-Christmas schedule.
After the Christmas break, the Lady Rangers will host the EVELYN BLALOCK CLASSIC in Masters Gymnasium Jan. 1-2, featuring exciting matchups with top-ranked teams.
