Trinity Valley ends Lady Rangers' tournament run with 81-65 victory

TYLER, TX: After defeating defending national champions Tyler Junior College in the Region 14 semifinals on Thursday, it just seemed like the Lady Rangers ran out of gas Friday against No. 2 seed Trinity Valley.

The Lady Cardinals built a sizeable 41-25 lead by the half and the Lady Rangers just couldn't make up the difference in the second half, losing 81-65.

Jazmyn Stostand led all scorers with 20 points, nailing four three-pointers. Alyssia Thorne was also in double figures with 12 points.

TVCC was led in scoring by Kaila Kelley with 19 points, earning a double-double by grabbing 13 rebounds.

KC ends its season with a 14-17 record while the No. 5 nationally ranked Lady Cardinals improve to 30-2 and will face Blinn in the championship game Saturday.
