The KC men have a history with Lee College after defeating them last season, 72-55, for the Region XIV Championship in Jacksonville.
Even though Lee lost to KC in the R14 championship in 2022, they got an at-large bid to the national tournament in Hutchinson (Kansas) last season because of their impressive record. The Rebels (their mascot is now the Navigators) lost in the first round of the 2022 national tournament in Hutchinson to Snow College, 83-82.
The Rangers won their first game of the national tournament last season and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen, but fell to Triton College, 76-65.
Under first-year head coach Stephanie Williams, the Lady Rangers have been extremely competive this season, losing four games by 4 points or less.
The Lady Rangers' next game is 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, in Masters Gymnasium to face Temple College.
The KC men will next face Tribulation Prep in a non-conference matchup 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, in Masters Gymnasium.
