Basketball season underway for Rangers, Lady Rangers
The Kilgore College Rangers and Lady Rangers are off to exceptional starts as the 2024 basketball season kicks off. Both teams are looking to improve on highly successful 2023-24 campaigns.
The Kilgore College Rangers and Lady Rangers are off to exceptional starts as the 2024 basketball season kicks off. Both teams are looking to improve on highly successful 2023-24 campaigns.
Last season, the Rangers finished 24-9 in coach Robert Byrd's first season at the helm. They advanced to the semifinals in the R14 tournament before being narrowly eliminated by Lee College, 65-61.
The women finished the 2023-24 season with a 19-13 record in coach Stephanie Williams' second season. They also advanced to the R14 semifinals.
Both teams return few players from last season. For the men, Cahmai Crosby is the only returner. For the women, Jarahle Daniels returns, although she did not play last season due to an injury.
Also returning for the Lady Rangers are Tylissa "Lucy" Henderson and Nakiyah Allen.
