Rangers, Lady Rangers drop games in semifinals of Region XIV Tournament

After stellar regular seasons by both the women's and men's Kilgore College basketball teams, both teams lost narrowly in the semifinals of the Region XIV Basketball Tournament at Tyler's Wagstaff Gymnasium -- ending both teams' seasons.
 

 
KC RANGERS
 
The Rangers defeated Bossier Parish, 78-65, March 12 in the first-round of the men's R14 Tournament. READ GAME STORY
 
In the quarterfinals, KC defeated Blinn 65-53. READ GAME STORY
 
In the semifinals, they lost to Lee College, 65-61. READ GAME STORY
 
The Rangers closed out their season under first year head coach Robert Byrd with a record of 24-9.
 

 
LADY RANGERS
 
The Lady Rangers defeated the Panola Fillies in the first-round 88-64 in the women's R14 Tournament. READ GAME STORY
 
In the semifinals on March 15, they lost to Trinity Valley, 71-58. READ GAME STORY
 
The Lady Rangers finished their season with a 19-13 record under head coach Stephanie Williams.
