RANGER FOOTBALL: SWJCFC CHAMPIONS WITH VICTORY AGAINST NAVARRO!
The Kilgore College Rangers are Southwest Junior College Football Conference Champions for the second year in a row. And they should get a chance to play in the NJCAA four-team national playoffs to compete for the national junior college championship in early December.
KILGORE, TX -- With a 48-39 victory over Navarro, the Kilgore College Rangers are Southwest Junior College Football Conference Champions for the second year in a row. Finishing the regular season ranked No. 3 in the NJCAA, they should definitely be included in the four-team national playoffs to compete for the national junior college football championship.
In the SWJCFC Championship game vs. Navarro, Kaden Meredith rushed for 100 yards, and backup QB Tyler Webb excelled in the starting role since Cameron Peters was out with an injury.
The Rangers entered the game as the No. 3 spot nationally behind Hutchinson (Kansas) and Iowa Western, and are expected to retain that ranking since the top two teams completed regular season schedules last week.
The top four NJCAA seeds will be revealed on Monday, Nov. 20, but KC is expected to be in the top-four national playoff (DATE/TIME/PLACE TBD) with its win against Navarro.
